Out of the oil fields
and into the ring!
Kilgore's own Harold "Tyck" Tycksen. A Panama, Desert
Storm & Somalia War veteran, "Tyck" packs a punch
at a solid 6'4", 265 pounds. Anyone who has dared enter the
ring knows when they've been hit. "It's like running into a
brick wall!" comments one of his former opponents.
"Tyck" is by no means new to the sport of wrestling.
At 12 years old "Tyck" began competing in collegiate style
tournament competition while attending Lincoln Savage Middle School
in Murphy, OR. Then started Greco-Roman style while attending Phoenix
High school in Phoenix, OR. As a sophomore "Tyck" had
the opportunity to meet Dutch Savage who inspired his dream of becoming
a pro wrestler.
After graduating high school "Tyck" joined the United
States Armed Forces and continued his wrestling carrier wrestling
with the Armed Forces Community Wrestling Team. In 1986 "Tyck"
was awarded the US Army Medallion for his wrestling talent. While
serving in Germany "Tyck" played two years with the World
Football league, then two more years of professional Rugby while
continuing his wrestling carrier.
"Tyck" has been a name for several generations in his
family. Anyone who has known him has known him by this name.
In June of 2001 "Tyck" began his pro wrestling carrier
when joining General Skandor Akbar's school in Dallas, TX. Making
his pro wrestling debut August 25th, 2001 at the Kilgore National
Guard Armory "Tyck" is now taking the wrestling world
by the horns! This big cowboy is kicking but and taking names. Accompanied
to the ring by his valet "Roxanne" the two make for a
formidable pair.
Tyck & Roxanne appeared with Texas Wrestling Association, Super
Stars of Wrestling & ACW.
